15 February 2010. SKKV Software released a new version of its #1 maintenance utilities for Windows Mobile - SKTools.

SKTools it is multi-function application includes more than 60 tools and allows an easy but powerful maintenance of Windows Mobile devices. Clean up your registry and file system, free-up RAM, backup and restore, find duplicate contacts, appointments and tasks. In new version 4.5.1.3 of SKTools:

- New settings storage subsystem.

Sometimes, while surfing the internet on your PC, you want to open a page quickly or download a file to your PDA. However, it is not always possible (or you do not want) to establish a connection through ActiveSync. And you do not want to waste your time typing a long URL. It is a well known fact that SKTools is rich in search features. These features are: search and replacement in the registry, in databases, in contacts, search in messages, search and replace on SIM card. These features have been considerably expanded in the new version – regular expressions are supported now, both for search and for replacement. For example, it is possible to find all files with the names starting with a certain set of letters and ending with a different particular set or containing a certain syllable in the name. It is possible to find keys consisting of more than N certain symbols in the registry. Also, it is possible to find all N-digit local numbers (without country and city codes) in contacts and on SIM card and to add the above codes to them. In addition, regular expressions are used in the new "bulk rename" tool.

SKKV Software released SK Today Commander 1.0.25.
SK Today Commander is used to manage different Today screen configurations (profiles), and to switch them easily.
In new version fixed some minor bugs, improved work on new devices (HTC Diamond, devices with 320x320 screen).

Here are some usage examples (of course, this is not a complete range of usage scenarios):
- you have a lot of Today plugins, and they won't fit on Today screen simultaneously.
- each plugin needs some RAM to work, and you want to release additional RAM sometimes (e.g. for a resource-demanding game). In this case, you can create a profile with a minimum set of plugins, or even with no plugins at all, and switch to that profile when needed. - some plugins (usually those that work with PIM) are displaying personal information on Today screen, which you don't want to be displayed all the time so that others couldn't accidentally see it.
- you like to keep everything (including your plugins) organized by categories.
- switch between TF3D and standard today screen on some devices

Q: How i can use new "Messages" option?
A: As example if i receive notifications about delivered SMS and i not want keep this messages long time i can setup:
In Messages->Settings->Search in auto mode = "Message delivered" ("Message delivered" - exist in notification text of this messages, you may have other).
In Messages->Settings->Search only in this account(s)=SMS After this need enable "Messages" option in SKTools->Tools->Settings->Automation and every "auto clean" start this messages will be deleted.

Q: What is "Installer"?
A: This is executable file (made by SKTools) which include packed set of CAB(s), REG(s) and other files. You can select which files will be included. If you run "Installer" CAB files will be installed to your PDA, REG files will be imported to registry, other files extracted with path. As example, you can use "Installer" for migrate your programs, files and settings to other device. Also possible to use "Installer" as files backup.

Q: How i can delete registry key(s) and value(s) from REG file?
A: To delete a registry key with a REG file, put a hyphen "-" in front of the registry path in the REG file.
Example:
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\KeyToDelete]
To delete a registry value with a REG file, put a hyphen (-) after the equals sign following the value name in the REG file.
Example:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\KeyName]

The program auto-rotate screen on HTC Touch Diamond devices. You can select which programs need exclude. Or possible to setup for which programs ONLY need rotate screen. Also possible switch screen off if you put device with screen on bottom.
